Wheel cleaning!
I made a tool from a cloth pincher? (klesklype)
so that I could easier clean the wheels off my locomotives.
I filed down the tips and solder some copper plates to wires and glued them on
with a "hot gun".
Then I take off the locomotive shell on
clamp the tool on the connectors to the
brushes for
the motor.
I then turn on
the power spinning the wheels and usually use a small cloth with some strong
universal paint thinner to wipe off the dirt from the wheels. If the wheels are
really dirty I some
times use very fine sandpaper to clean also. But I not sure how smart this is
because it can make
the wheels a little ruff and then gather more dust than usual?
